PREPARING YOUR PET FOR A PROCEDURE
Surgical or Internal Medicine Consultation:
No food after midnight the night before the procedure. (Pet may have access to fresh water up through morning.)
Ultrasound:
No food after midnight the night before the procedure. (Having the stomach empty aids in visualization of internal organs.)
Endoscopy:
No food after midnight the night before the procedure. (Pet may have access to fresh water up through morning.)
CT Scan:
No food after midnight the night before the procedure. (Pet may have access to fresh water up through morning.)
Surgery:
No food after midnight the night before the procedure. (Pet may have access to fresh water up through morning.)
Donating Blood:
Skip meal prior to donation. (Please see Blood Donation guide for other concerns.)
If your pet is diabetic or requires morning medication, please call doctor for instructions.
